Join Pastor Sepa
in Malawi this fall
A Mission Trip to East Africa | October 17-24
IN TWO YEARS, 12 CHURCHES.
From October 2024 to October 2025, Pastor Sepa Nashale planted 12 local churches — 5 in the Democratic Republic of Congo and 7 in Malawi.
These aren't programs on paper.
Pastor Sepa is a man who does what he says.
WHO IS PASTOR SEPA?
Pastor Sepa Nashale serves as the lead pastor of True Vine Mission Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan — a church plant of the Great Lakes City Classis. He is a Church Planting Catalyst and Evangel Dean with World Impact, one of the leading urban missions organizations in the country.
His work is built on a simple conviction: the Gospel changes everything. Evangelism leads to discipleship. Discipleship leads to leadership development. Leadership development leads to church planting. And church planting starts the whole thing over again in the next community.
That's not a theory. It's what's happening right now in Central and East Africa.
WHAT YOU'RE BEING INVITED TO JOIN
This fall, Pastor Sepa is inviting a small group of pastors and lay leaders to travel to Malawi and see the work firsthand — to build the relationships that make long-term mission possible, and to put their hands to it.
The trip will include:
- Visits to encourage the Dzaleka Refugee Camp church and 6 local churches in the Lilongwe and Mangochi districts
- Hands-on work — including helping install roofs on church buildings that are waiting to be finished before rainy season
- Time with local evangelists and church leaders who are being developed to plant the next wave of churches through an Evangel School of Church Planting
- Train existing church leaders on disciple making.
- A visit to the Pwetekere village church and its Sustainable Farming "in God's Way" agricultural project, where families are learning to build financial stability through their faith community
This isn't a sightseeing trip. It's a partnership trip with hands-on ministry opportunities. And you'll directly assist in planting new churches among the people of Malawi.
You'll come back with faces, names, and relationships — which is exactly what sustains long-term prayer and giving.
TRIP DETAILS
When: October 17-24, 2026 (one week) Where: Malawi, East Africa — Lilongwe & Mangochi districts Cost: $5,000 per person Includes: Round-trip flight, hotel, and meals
PROVIDE A ROOF
If international travel is not an option for you or your church, would you consider helping with a building project?
When a new church is planted, the congregation builds their own structure (by hand) to gather in. That's not a small thing. These families are doing the work themselves.
Last year three congregations received roofing materials thanks to the support of Buck Creek Community Church, the RCA and the De Jong Family. They are now able to gather together in and out of rainy season.
And in Malawi, rainy season is relentless. And a church without a roof can't function as a church. Right now, nine of our congregations are waiting on a roof. Each one costs $1,500.
THREE WAYS TO PARTNER
Go — Join Pastor Sepa in Malawi this October. $5,000 covers your full week: flights, hotel, and meals.
Pray — Become a prayer partner. We'll send you regular updates from the field so you can pray with names and faces in mind.
Either way, you're not giving to a program. You're investing in a movement. The goal: 25 new churches planted by local leaders by 2030 — congregations that evangelize, disciple, and multiply, long after any of us go home.
